Racing: Godolphin hopes arrive in Kentucky

Godolphin’s American classic hopes - Essence Of Dubai, Imperial Gesture and Tempera - have arrived in Kentucky.

Sources at Churchill Downs confirmed that the trio landed at Louisville airport and were subsequently vanned to Keeneland to spend their quarantine period.

They are expected to transfer to Churchill Downs on Friday.

Essence Of Dubai, the UAE Derby winner, is currently the highest earner of the entries for the Kentucky Derby on May 4 after amassing over $1.51m (€1.69m) in earnings.

Imperial Gesture and Tempera, the first and second in the UAE Oaks, have been pencilled in for a crack at the Kentucky Oaks.
