Tony Dobbin looks likely to miss the final day of the Cheltenham Festival after picking up an injury.

The jockey suffered an eye injury after a fall from Ryalux in the Mildmay Of Flete Chase on Wednesday and was stood down for 48 hours by the racecourse doctor.

Dobbin was set to ride Cyfor Malta for Martin Pipe in the £300,000 (€482,000) Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup.

"I'm going to go there and ask him, but it's unlikely I think," Dobbin said.

"He signed me off for 48 hours and he's going to assess me to see if I'm going to ride at the weekend. I think but the papers seem to think he's going to review so I'm going to see if I'm riding or not."
