Istabraq has failed in his quest for a fourth Smurfit Champion Hurdle success at Cheltenham.

The JP McManus-owned horse was pulled up by jockey Charlie Swan at the second hurdle.

10/1 shot Hors La Loi III went on to win the race after Valiramix - ridden by Tony McCoy fell.

Marble Arch was second at 25/1 and Bilboa third at 14/1.
