The champion jockey starts the day on 261 winners, just eight short of equalling Sir Gordon Richards’ all-time record.

McCoy kicks the day off on board the Jonjo O’Neill-trained Druid’s Glen in the Cotswold Haylage Novices’ Hurdle (2.20) and completes his workload by riding Mark Equal for Martin Pipe in the H & K Commissions (Bookmakers) handicap Hurdle at 4.20.
