Horse racing: Cheltenham going described as ‘‘perfect’’
Katie Walsh, daughter of Irish trainer Ted, gave the Cheltenham ground the thumbs up after partnering hurdler Make My Day in a spin at the track.
She said: ‘‘It’s perfect ground out there at the moment and there’s definitely a bit of cut in it. Its good ground - probably good to soft in places - which is fair to everybody.’’
Walsh’s Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup hope Commanche Court, due to be partnered by his son Ruby, is due to arrive at the Prestbury Park racecourse stables tomorrow.
However, the trainer’s other three runners No Discount (Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup), Bob Justice (Coral Eurobet Cup) and Make My Day (Pertemps Final) are already in the stables.
