Horse racing: Looks Like Trouble in good shape

Ante-post favourite Looks Like Trouble is reported to be in good shape ahead of his bid to follow up his win of two years ago in the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup on Thursday.

The Noel Chance-trained 10-year-old was off the course for 14 months with a tendon injury after winning at Down Royal in November 2000 before making a winning return at Wincanton.

And after Looks Like Trouble had completed his final piece of work on Saturday Chance, who also won the Cheltenham Gold Cup with Mr Mulligan in 1997, said: ‘‘All’s well. We gave him a blowout and he was good, good, good and most importantly he’s all right.

‘‘Now it’s a case of keeping him in one piece for Thursday.’’
