Racing: Moscow Flyer work pleases connections

Moscow Flyer delighted connections in a workout at Leopardstown racecourse ahead of his bid for the Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy.

"It all went well - no slip ups. He went two miles round Leopardstown with Barry Geraghty and it was very satisfactory," commented the trainer Jessica Harrington.

"It's all systems go."

Moscow Flyer is a general 7-1 chance for the Arkle and Mrs Harrington said: "He's in good form and if he gets there in one piece we are hopeful."

Moscow Flyer has won three of his five starts over fences, including the Denny Gold Medal Chase at Leopardstown in December.

He fell on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse and again on his most recent start in the Baileys Arkle Cup back at Leopardstown last month.

"I honestly don't know why he fell but I've watched the video enough times and he seemed to slip on landing more than anything else," the trainer added.
