Racing: Sakhee set for Dubai outing
Sakhee is set to make his long awaited reappearance at Nad Al Sheba on Thursday night.
The Godolphin-owned five-year-old, winner of the Prix de l’Arc Triomphe last season, is set to run as he continues his build-up to the Dubai World Cup on March 23.
Mr Ali Khamis Al Jafleh, chairman of the Dubai Racing Club said: ‘‘Sakhee is the best and here is a golden opportunity for all to see him up close.
‘‘And when everyone sees him they will realise, he is a magnificent looking horse and has the ability to match.’’
Sakhee was given a top rating of 133 in the 2001 International Classifications after a season which saw him take the Juddmonte International at York before recording a stunning seven-length win in France.
He rounded off the season by finishing second, by a nose, to Tiznow in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
