Horse Racing: Waterlogged Chepstow abandoned

Chepstow's National Hunt meeting has become the latest victim of the wet weather sweeping Britain.

The fixture was abandoned following an inspection.

A course spokeswoman explained: "We have abandoned because of waterlogging in places on both the chase and hurdle course.

"In the 24 hours previous to the abandonment there has been 38mm of rain."
