The Hong Kong Mile second defeated Red Pepper by a length and a quarter under Robbie Fradd.

Trainer Derek Cruz was in fine form, rattling off a four-timer through Operation Humour, Super Blitz, Me Guinness and My Honour with French rider Olivier Doleuze on the first two.

Tony Cruz, the former local champion rider turned trainer, got in on the double act with Exciting Times and D’Or Win.
