Britain faces a second straight day without jump racing tomorrow after the meeting at Ayr was called off this morning.

Frost put paid to the fixture, as it did to the other scheduled National Hunt card at Folkestone.

Course spokesman Chris Kennedy said: "We have abandoned.

"There is still quite a lot of frost and most of the course is frozen.

"I have just spoken to the Met Office and they say it will be between -3C and -5C tonight so we haven't got a hope."

Tomorrow's only surviving meeting is an all-weather Flat card at Southwell.
