Linguistic justifies market support

Market support for Linguistic proved accurate in the 200,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Trophy at Newmarket yesterday.

Although the Aidan O’Brien trained Landofhopeandglory became the eighth favourite in eight runnings of this race to be beaten, there was notable late support for John Gosden’s colt who was sent off second in the market at 3/1.

Runner-up in both juvenile starts, the son of Lope De Vega travelled strongly on the far side of the pack, just off the pace set by Brave Hero.
