Corrin Emma poised to complete hat-trick at Youghal
The very smart November ’13 whelp was, arguably, more comfortable in victory than the winning margins in those two most recent victories might suggest.
Tonight’s race doesn’t look any more taxing than either of those - marginally more manageable if anything - and if she can break on terms, it’ll take a pretty smart performance to deny her the three-timer.
Bellers Sky, who ran the selection to a length last week, is well drawn and looks the one to give her most to think about once more.
Hollyhill Gem will take a world of beating in the third race. Ger Gubbins’ bitch ran well in higher grade last time, when not as well drawn and, now back in the red jacket, should be able to stamp her class on proceedings this time.
She was very unlucky from this box in a higher grade just three runs ago, and a performance of similar merit should be enough to earn her a return visit to the winner’s enclosure.
Oldstager Stag Park Wood remains capable at this level and his stamina over this trip should carry him into the frame.
Although Corrin Tiger has been a frustrating sort for punters to follow in recent weeks, he has another good-looking opportunity in the second race.
With a slow starter on his inner, and likely plenty of room in which to race down the outside, he should turn much closer this time than in recent outings over 525 yards. That being the case, he’ll be very hard to beat in this A5 company.
Well-drawn veteran Mohane Christy should be involved throughout, and should reach the frame.
