Hawks Apprentice is threatening to make a return to winning ways, and the draw is very much in her favour. She looks the one to chase her home.
Seans Place can take race three for Mossie Tattan. Although he finished fifth last time, he was forced wide around the opening bends, and wasn’t beaten far. He’s capable of a quicker break and if able to turn reasonably close to the pace, his stamina should carry him home in front.
Mohane Christy looks a likely leader along the inner, and is the one to benefit if the selection fails to negotiate a clear run.
Race six is a hot sprint, in which Stunning Romeo can secure a fourth career victory in just 10 runs. Fechin Mullen’s pup was most impressive here on December 7, when he accounted for a number of his rivals here. He turned in traps in Shelbourne Park next time, but that’s best forgiven, and he trialled back at this track with a very smart 17.78. Still unexposed, he can prove too sharp for his rivals, headed by Conna Duchess.
