Trainer Pat Fahy topped and tailed yesterday’s meeting at Clonmel with the victories for Eyes Of A Tiger and Ten Times Better, while their respective riders, Ruby and Katie Walsh, helped record a memorable day for the Walsh family as their father, Ted, was also on the mark, with Old Castletown.

The market certainly got the first race right as two gambled-on runners, Eyes Of A Tiger and Hatch Hall, fought out the finish.

The former, backed from a high of 4-1 the night before to a starting price of 10-11, was sent to the front early, and looked in command as he held a three-length lead into the last hurdle.
