The leading French trainer believes the son of Dubawi will relish the extra two and a half furlongs of the colts’ Classic following his fine effort in the the Poule d’Essai des Poulains, also known as the French 2000 Guineas, at Longchamp.

Disadvantaged by an outside draw, New Bay finished with a flourish to take second place behind the winner, his stablemate Make Believe.
