Concorde can come through test with flying colours

Much interest at Leopardstown today will centre on the debut over jumps of Silver Concorde in the Paddy Power Maiden Hurdle.

The first of the top horses to represent the relatively new combination of Dermot Weld and Davy Russell, it will be disappointing should he fail to come through this test with flying colours. Silver Concorde has Cheltenham aspiration and, of course, is already a winner at the festival, having taken the bumper there in March.

He has reportedly schooled beautifully and emphasised his current well being when scoring on the flat at Navan in October.
