Having made most of the running and jumping better than the odds-on favourite, Sizing Granite kept finding for Jonathan Burke on the run-in to score by a length, not only completing de Bromhead’s treble but doubles for owners Alan and Ann Potts and their retained rider Jonathan Burke.

“It’s my first treble on the same card, although I’ve had three on the same day, between Punchestown and Cork,” confirmed de Bromhead. “This horse was always going to be a chaser. He’s still a big baby — backward and green. But he’s a very exciting horse.”
