Fever fancied

Fever Pitch is the nap choice in the Wilderness Rated Chase at Clonmel this afternoon.

Arthur Moore's charge is a long way removed from being any sort of flying machine, but does shape as the most reliable of the four possibilities in this heat.

He produced a solid enough effort in a handicap at Roscommon last time and a repeat of that performance should certainly be more than good enough.

At Roscommon, he was beaten two and three quarter lengths into second by Robert Tyner's Dushrembrandt. That winner, however, was probably well handicapped and in receipt of 10lbs from Fever Pitch.

Tyner can enjoy a turn with Sir Abbot in the Cashel Maiden Hurdle, although the five-year-old has to leave a below par effortat Killarney in May, behind. Prior to that Sir Abbot beat subsequent winner, New Kid In Town, in good style in a bumper at Ballinrobe and this is a very weak contest.
