Barry Geraghty followed-up a double for Rebecca Curtis in Aintree on Sunday with another brace in Wexford yesterday, highlighted by the wide-margin victory of Seefood in the listed M W Hickey Memorial Chase.

Geraghty travelled south for just two rides and enjoyed an armchair ride on 2/1 joint-favourite Seefood in the four-runner feature, cruising clear from the second last fence to score, unchallenged, by thirty-nine lengths from Thomond.

“Running over the shorter trip in Limerick sharpened his jumping and he relished today’s three miles plus ” said Geraghty, who had initiated his double on Davy Fitzgerald’s 99-rated 2/7 favourite Stonehall Jack in the opening maiden hurdle.
