Miss North Light can deliver under Carberry
The Gordon Elliott-trained mare, whose dam is a half-sister to top-class stayers Double Trigger and Double Eclipse, shaped with plenty of promise on her debut at Downpatrick and, with Nina Carberry booked for this lady riders’ event, the daughter of North Light should prove tough to beat.
In Downpatrick, Miss North Light travelled strongly but inexperience told in the heat of battle against the consistent but previously luckless Rathmuck Native, who scored by two and a half lengths, the leading pair pulling six lengths clear of the third.
