Byron earmarked for Ascot Sprint
Tom Hogan’s stable star finished runner-up for a second consecutive season in the Prix de la Foret, a race he also won in 2012 but was on this occasion two lengths in arrears of Olympic Glory.
Gordon Lord Byron ran in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes over a mile on Champions Day last year, but this time the six-year-old will remain over six furlongs.
“He’s 100 per cent and likely to go to Ascot for the Champions Sprint,” said Hogan. “He’s so versatile and runs his race over six (furlongs), seven or a mile.”
