Bronze Angel camp pondering Darley raid

Bronze Angel could have another crack at Group Three honours in the Darley Stakes at Newmarket next month thanks to winning the Betfred Cambridgeshire for a second time on Saturday.

A strong gallop over nine furlongs on fast ground are the key elements for Bronze Angel, who thrust his trainer Marcus Tregoning back into the limelight when repeating his victory of 2012 in the big autumn handicap.

Bronze Angel tried to follow up his first Cambridgeshire success in the Darley Stakes over the same course and distance two years ago, but things were not quite in his favour and he could only finish fifth behind Mull Of Killough.
