Treble boost for Doyle

James Doyle warmed up for Ladbrokes St Leger meeting at Doncaster, where he rides Snow Sky in the world’s oldest Classic, with a 208-1 treble at Leicester yesterday.

Treble boost for Doyle

His opening winner was in the Snow Sky colours of his main retainer, Khalid Abdullah, on Dancetrack and he also struck on High Church and Sagaciously.

The latter provided a 50-1 shock on her debut in the British Stallion Studs EBF Filbert Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.

Ed Dunlop’s filly overcame Housemaker well inside the final furlong to win by a length.

“I had some nice rides and it’s good when they come off,” said Doyle.

Doyle produced the Roger Charlton-trained High Church from the rear to lead entering the final furlong and pull away to land the Markfield Handicap from Opera Fan.
