Edison set for Hurdle glory bid

Thomas Edison is likely to spearhead Tony Martin’s team for next week’s Galway Festival in the Guinness Galway Hurdle.

The seven-year-old won a valuable handicap on the level at the Curragh when last seen in May but he has only won one race over hurdles to date.

Martin enjoyed a hugely successful meeting 12 months ago but does not believe his team has as much strength in depth this time around.
