Hall set to go one better

Tom Cooper’s Chute Hall can leave a frustrating run of three seconds in a row behind by landing the Cashel Maiden Hurdle at Thurles this afternoon.

This is a horse who shapes as if he might well react well to particularly strong handling and the booking of Ruby Walsh is an obvious plus.

The six-year-old was outclassed by Faugheen at Punchestown last time, but there was little disgrace in that.
