Tip advances the notion that trap is more important than trip
The popular local tracker, trained by Anthony Dwyer for the Back Of The Bus Syndicate, was sent off the 6-4 favourite to make the most of this ease in grade and he did so with the minimum of fuss. A fast start had him right on the pace from the outset and he stuck to the rails to take a narrow lead into the backstraight.
The chasers were stacked up behind him but, using his superior stamina and class, he pulled clear to score by four lengths from Ballydaly Sword in 28.84.
