Swan delighted with Changer
The winner of a Cork bumper in March before being brought down at the Punchestown Festival, the four-year-old made a winning start to his career over hurdles back at Cork in early November.
He was third behind Ange Balafre on his next start at Gowran Park, but comfortably reversed that form when running out a comfortable winner at the weekend.
The Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 27 is a potential next port of call.
Swan said: “He made a bad mistake at the last hurdle at Gowran, whatever way he hit it he stopped to a standstill. It was a messy race too, they went no gallop, they didn’t go much of a gallop yesterday either, but they went a bit faster than Gowran so that was a help.
“I was delighted with his performance. He definitely has a lot of ability. We will see how he comes out of it before deciding on where to go next, he is entered in a Grade One at Leopardstown, but we will wait and see.”
