Last Instalment and Dunguib close to return

Trainer Philip Fenton is considering the Kinloch Brae Chase over two and a half miles at Thurles on January 16 for Last Instalment, and is targeting a hurdles race for Dunguib at Naas two days later.

Last Instalment has been sidelined with a tendon injury since taking his unbeaten record over fences to four in the Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase at Leopardstown in February 2012.

Dunguib, the 2009 Cheltenham Champion Bumper hero, has been off the track since finishing eighth to Hurricane Fly in the Champion Hurdle in March 2011.

“All is on schedule to make a comeback, maybe some time in January,” said the County Tipperary trainer.

“Last Instalment could possibly go for the Kinloch Brae Chase at Thurles and Dunguib may go to Naas for a run over hurdles.”
