Miss handed Longchamp assignment

Missunited has been given the green light to contest the Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp on Sunday week.

Miss handed Longchamp assignment

The ultra-consistent Mick Winters-trained mare has been a revelation on the Flat and over hurdles, winning 10 of her 23 races and over £250,000 in prize money.

She has never raced at higher than Listed level on the Flat, winning at Galway and finishing second four other times in that Grade, but with soft ground almost guaranteed, Winters feels connections have nothing to lose.

“She has the entry in France on Sunday week and I’d say she’d probably go there,” said Winters.

“That will be it then for the winter as she’s been on the go a while.

“It was the owners who picked out the race and they wanted to go.

“She’s still in good form, she just got touched off by one of Aidan O’Brien’s (Eye Of The Storm) last time and he’s off to Ascot.

“There’s a lot of prize money on offer in France and she looks in great order.”
