Kate and Lantern in Chariot rematch

John Gosden’s multiple Group One winner Elusive Kate narrowly beat Richard Hannon’s 1000 Guineas winner in the Falmouth Stakes but hung left, hampering the grey inside the final furlong.
Sky Lantern’s connections appealed the decision but the result stood and they will be eager to set the record straight this weekend.
Kevin Prendergast’s La Collina was fourth in this event last year and added another Group One to her record in the Matron Stakes last time out.
She was supplemented for this weekend’s event.
Michael Stoute’s Integral, David Wachman’s Duntle and Jane Cecil’s Chigun completes the seven-runner field.
Meanwhile, French filly Vorda features among a field of eight declared for the Connolly’s Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow.
The sole Irish raider is David Wachman’s Come To Heel, who was supplemented at a cost of £15,000.
Come To Heel won a Listed race at the Curragh last time out and the runner-up, Hurryupharriet, franked the form at Ayr last week.
The home challenge is led by the Charlie Hills-trained Albany Stakes scorer Kiyoshi, demoted to third after finishing second to Rizeena in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh.
Frankel’s half-sister Joyeuse, Alutiq, Dorothy B, Princess Noor and Red Lady make up the field.
