Derrinstown target for Eagle

Classic hope Free Eagle is likely to start next season off in the Derrinstown Derby Trial at Leopardstown.

The Dermot Weld-trained juvenile was all the rage for the Investec Derby when powering home by five and a half lengths on his debut at Leopardstown in August.

He was sent of at odds of 2-5 to follow up in a Group Three back at the Dublin track but was firmly put in place by Aidan O’Brien’s Australia, going down by six lengths.
