Kandinski poised to come good

Robert Tyner sends four horses on the long journey from Kinsale to Ballinrobe in Co Mayo this evening and it will be disappointing should they return empty handed.

His rather frustrating Kandinski is the nap choice in the Welcome Back To The Racecourse Of The Year Maiden Hurdle.

The ex-winning point-to-pointer has finished second in five of his six outings on the track and that is obviously a worry. Twice he has looked like winning at Navan, but got mugged on both occasions, after a tendency to run too freely did him no favours. Kandinski did, however, start off the current campaign with a promising fourth over flights behind King Of Firth at Fairyhouse in January and this test represents a good opportunity.
