Russell set to leave hospital

Jockey Davy Russell said he hopes to be released from hospital today after suffering a punctured lung at the Cheltenham Festival.

Russell was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital for further treatment but last evening issued an upbeat bulletin.

He tweeted: “Great news, it looks like I will be able to leave hospital in morning – lung has fully inflated again.”
