Two-day meeting at Thurles
However, the programme for both days has now changed. The meeting on Wednesday will consist of seven races, an all-hurdle and bumper card, while the meeting on Thursday will have six races over fences.
Fresh entries for both meetings close at 12 noon on February 7.
Meanwhile, Fairyhouse’s general manager Peter Roe admits the course will “need a bit of luck” with the weather ahead of this weekend’s meeting.
The Co Meath venue is due to stage a seven-race card on Saturday, with the feature Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase saved from a meeting abandoned at the track earlier this month.
However, conditions are already extremely testing and more rain is forecast. Irish Turf Club officials will check on the ground tomorrow.
