Grand National hope On His Own poised to return

Owner Graham Wylie has confirmed John Smith’s Grand National gamble On His Own is set for an imminent return to action.

The Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old was still going great guns in last year’s Grand National when he fell around the second circuit at Becher’s Brook.

Although he has since been sidelined by injury, Coral were forced to cut him to 14-1 clear ante-post favourite (from 20s).
