Lucy can open account

Our Girl Lucy might be capable of opening her account over fences — at the second attempt — in the Centenary Celebrations Beginners Chase in Tramore today.

The meeting must pass an 8a.m. inspection, called yesterday afternoon (when the going was described as soft) due to an adverse weather forecast.

Trained by Tom Cooper, Our Girl Lucy was successful over hurdles (off a mark of 92) in Mallow back in July and then acquitted herself well in Killarney.
