Tarla can follow up

Willie Mullins’ Tarla, having a first outing over jumps for 849 days, can land the Roscommonracecourse.ie Hurdle at the western track tonight.

She hasn’t jumped a flight in public since winning a Grade 3 at the Punchestown festival in April of 2010.

Tarla has obviously had her training problems, but reappeared in good heart on this track last month to score over ten furlongs.

Such a performance was well anticipated, considering she went off a heavily-backed odds-on favourite and duly obliged to the tune of four and a half lengths.

The six-year-old, successful three times at Auteuil in her native France, still has time very much on her side and can deliver.

Aidan O’Brien’s King Of The Romans, beaten into second by Dermot Weld’s newcomer, Muaanid, at Galway has to get the vote in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Median Auction Maiden.

The improving Zariyna, up 5lbs for beating Cheval Rouge a snug length and a quarter at Leopardstown, can complete a hat-trick in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Fillies Handicap.

Willie Mullins is fancied to land a double at Tramore with Dare To Doubt and Sweet My Lord.

Dare To Doubt, third behind Livia Galilei and Tantalising in a Sligo handicap, gets the nod in the Harney’s Of Dunhill Maiden.

Sweet My Lord, a more than useful hurdler and who should be all the better for a much-needed outing at Galway, can make a winning start over fences in the Beginners Chase.
