Stallone causes huge upset in Barry’s Tea decider
Trained by Bridie Moore for David and Jack Bourke, the son of Premier Fantasy chose the perfect time to find his trapping boots and, in doing so, was able to get the better of Mountaylor Ace in the early stages.
A length clear passing the stands on the first circuit, with the remaining runners some six or seven lengths further adrift, the progressive stayer maintained a strong gallop from the front. Gambled-on favourite Dream Winner came from the pack, briefly looking dangerous, but the leader was not for catching, running on strongly to score by three and a half lengths in 41.93.
