Embracing Change (5/4), also successful here two weeks previously, was always well positioned as Kilty Storm and Glantara cut out the running. With runner-up Glantara edging ahead from the third last of the 15 obstacles, the eventual winner eased into second spot for Derek O’Connor at the penultimate fence and he stormed to the front on the approach to the final fence to thwart Lois Chappell’s charge by four lengths. The veteran Mr Dominator posted his normal creditable effort by returning a distance adrift in third spot.

“He’s probably finished with points now and we will go for a hunters chase next,” reported Embracing Change’s owner/breeder Finbarr O’Neill.
