Hughes hungry for moreafter Lingfield comeback
The Irish jockey would like to be at his peak for Richard Hannon’s Trumpet Major in Saturday’s Qipco 2000 Guineas and headed off around the M25 to Kempton’s evening meeting after having taken three rides without success at the Surrey course.
Hughes had been forced to serve a 50-day ban handed out by the Indian racing jurisdiction for not following riding instructions, a suspension which was reciprocated by the British Horseracing Authority.
