Lad to land the spoils in Supersprint

That is absolutely vital as Cambushmore, who isn’t the greatest of breakers, will be powering to the bend and, if Shoemakers Lad is not sufficiently far clear, he could find himself in trouble.
But the last-named also has to clear Shaneboy Spencer and Cashen Malouda, which is a task in itself.
However, in his semi-final Shoemakers Lad showed some of the form which gained him the 2011 Sprinter of the Year title and, thus, he must be the selection.
In the final of the Michael O’Leary Memorial A5, Tom O’Neill’s Lachteens Shaw can land the nap by completing his unbeaten run through the stake.
Most impressive when winning from trap one in the opening round, he came up against some adversity in his semi-final, but overcame it to post the fastest time of the round for the second week running.
He’s actually not badly drawn out in trap four this time, with the only fear being that Cottonmouth could move for the rails in the early stages.
However, Lachteens Shaw would appear to have the bitch’s measure in the early-pace department and he can be expected to follow Miss Houllie around the opening bends before setting sail for home down the far side. He stays very well and should not be caught.
