Minella has Pendil class

In the Grade 2 Pendil Novices' Chase at Kempton (4.10), the Nicky Henderson-trained Minella Class can get off the mark over fences.

He made his seasonal and chasing debut in a Bangor race won by Peddlers Cross and though he had much in his favour in terms of weight, he was conceding experience to the Champion Hurdle runner-up and so it was no surprise that he came off second best.

Seeking compensation in a hot four-runner event at Newbury on New Year's Eve, he had just moved to challenge leader Cue Card when stumbling and unseating Barry Geraghty after the tenth fence.
