Winston set to appeal 22-day Southwell ban

ROBERT Winston will appeal against the 22-day ban handed to him by the Southwell stewards on Thursday.

He finished second on Zenarinda in the Follow Us On Twitter At bluesq Handicap, but was found to have used his whip excessively, and down the shoulder in the forehand position.

Winston’s punishment was so severe as it was his second such offence within the previous 12 months.
