Sivola De Sivola out of Lanzarote Hurdle
Connections had planned to give the six-year-old, who holds another entry at Kempton and also one for the Grade 2 Neptune Investment Hurdle at Warwick on Saturday, two runs before the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival.
However, George said yesterday that Sivola De Sivola is now likely to wait before having one run before his Cheltenham date in March.
“We were thinking of giving him two runs before the Pertemps Final but will probably give him just the one now,” said George.
“We thought he might need two runs because he’s quite a lazy and stuffy horse at home, but the way he’s working and schooling at home we think we’ll just give him one run three or four weeks before the final.”
Sivola De Sivola has won two races from three starts this season, including at Newbury last time out, and is a general 14-1 chance for the Pertemps Final.
