Hunter chasing beckons for Barbers
Nicky Henderson’s 10-year-old has not been seen since he was pulled up in the 2010 Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury, but has some good form to his name, having finished seventh in the Gold Cup and third in a King George.
Henderson said: “He’s coming back in next week and the plan is to go hunter chasing in the spring.
“I think that would suit him now, as it opens up things like the military races at Sandown.
“He was unlucky to be around when Denman and Kauto Star were in their pomp — not that Kauto isn’t still, of course — but it will be nice to have him back.”
