King: MeDermit Ascot bound

MEDERMIT is on course to have a prep run for Cheltenham in the Betfair Ascot Chase on February 18.

The Ryanair Chase is the grey’s target at the Festival following his fine second to Quantitativeeasing in the Spinal Research The Atlantic 4 Gold Cup at the Prestbury Park track in December.

“He’s having a break and just doing the odd canter,” said trainer Alan King.

“He’ll probably go to Ascot in February and that will be his prep, hopefully for Cheltenham.”
