Christmas in-running market clearly too good to be true
I wasn’t trading at the time but if I had been, I can tell you for sure that I would have taken as much of the 28-1 (29.0) about Voler La Vedette as my account would have allowed, regardless of whether or not I fancied her to win the race. It was clearly a wrong price.
Colm Murphy’s mare was sent off the 13-8 second favourite in what could easily have been boiled down to a two-horse race. She travelled beautifully throughout, hardly put a foot wrong and won pretty much as she liked.
