Kyle Glen looks good at Glanworth

AFTER the opening two round of the Derby Trial Stake at the Glanworth, Co. Cork, it looks like a battle between Kyle Glen and Kierans Sam for the ticket to Clonmel.

Kyle Glen looks good at Glanworth

Both looked impressive, with Kyle Glen putting out Go On Donovan by five lengths and Spruce Luigi by six next time up.

Kierans Sam had no trouble in eliminating Havent A Hope by six lengths and had four lengths to spare over Aghadown Eoin next time.

This morning Aftertiming should shade it against Hunters Glory and then go on to a likely semi-final meeting with Kyle Glen, who looks to have the beating of Halsbak this morning.

At the bottom of the draw I expect Glanmore Adam to get the better of Cleanaway Rodge and Kierans Sam to overcome Foxhall Boy.

If they get that far, Kyle Glen is taken to beat Kierans Sam in the final.

The Oaks TS looks will take some sorting out. The first quarter-final between Barrack Becky and Skellig Izzy could go either way but I give Barrack Becky slight preference. Glenrockblaze was also have a tough course against Tea Party but should shade it.

At the bottom of the draw Cassiebeag gets the vote to put out Gold Lady while Kilty Prospect can defeat Runaway Mayhem. I go for a Barrack Becky-Cassiebeag final, with Cassiebeag tipped to come out on top.
