Grand Crus looks to build on impressive fencing debut

GRANDS CRUS attempts to build on his impressive fencing debut when he takes on just three rivals in the GPG Novices’ Chase at Newbury today.

Trainer David Pipe has opted to run the grey in this three-mile Grade Two heat, rather than in a similar contest over two and a half miles at the same course tomorrow.

Grands Crus got off the mark in pleasing fashion over an extended two and a half miles at Cheltenham two weeks ago and was a classy performer over longer distances over hurdles.
